Villa Vista is centrally located

A short stroll south on East Cliff takes you to the popular walking and biking path above Pleasure Point. It’s the perfect spot to exercise while watching world-class surfing, interesting people or the ever changing ocean below. Depending on the tides it’s also a great place to access the many coves and tide pools. The Point Market is just down the street from Villa Vista and an excellent place to grab a cup of coffee or a snack and overhear the latest surfing or fishing news from locals.

Just past Pleasure Point (about a 20 minute walk) is Lower 41st Avenue with restaurants, locally owned Penny Ice Creamery, Verve Coffee, NUBO Craft Brewery, as well as several local surf, home decor and clothing shops. You can also find places that rent surfboards, wetsuits and bicycles.

Keep going south (another 20 minute walk), and you end up in the quaint beach side resort of Capitola Village.

Traveling north from Villa Vista  is East Cliff shopping center with local farmer’s market every Sunday, Santa Cruz harbor, the Beach Boardwalk, and downtown Santa Cruz, home of boutique shops, restaurants/cafes, coffeehouses and world-class entertainment. About a 5-10 minute drive (or a 15 minute bike ride)
